The search for volunteers for the Scottish Open Badminton Championships is now underway following the opening of the application process.
The third oldest event in world badminton, the Scottish Open will be played over five days from 21-25 November at the Emirates Arena.
Volunteers will play a vital role in the experience offered to athletes, officials, media and fans during the event, supporting a wide range of functions including spectator services, accreditation, transport logistics and coaching and development activities.
"The Scottish Open promises once again to be a memorable event and our volunteers will be at its heart," said championships director Keith Russell.
"From assisting the athletes to providing a friendly and welcoming service to the spectators at the Emirates Arena, our volunteers always play an absolutely vital role in ensuring the Scottish Open is a success.
“We know we already have a committed community of badminton volunteers who will help make this event special, but we would also like to open this opportunity to others throughout Glasgow and Scotland who would like the experience of helping to run a major sporting event.
"This is a great opportunity for you to join a fantastic team to play your part in one of the world’s most established sporting events."
