Scots in action in Germany and Hungary

This week sees Scotland’s players competing in events in Germany and Hungary.

At the SaarLorLux Open in Saarbrucken, Germany yesterday, Adam Hall and Julie MacPherson were knocked out in the first round of the mixed doubles by second seeds Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich.

But the Scots can be happy with the manner of their defeat, winning the first game before eventually succumbing 20-22 21-19 21-15 in a match that will give them confidence they can compete a pair who they may well face at the Scottish Open next month.

Hall will pair up with Alex Dunn early this afternoon to take on Russia’s Anton Ivanov and Egor Okolov in the men’s doubles.

The Hungarian International in Budaors gets underway on Thursday with Jack MacGregor, Ciar Pringle, Holly Newall, Eleanor O’Donnell and Ciara Torrance in action for Scotland.
