Vacancy: Volunteer ParaBadminton Liaison Officer

We are currently searching for a volunteer ParaBadminton Liaison Officer to assist in providing support for ParaBadminton in Scotland.

 

Role Purpose

To provide clerical support, acting as first point of contact for ParaBadminton National & Development Squad Members. You will have an individual responsibility for keeping an up to date records of squad fees and keeping track of entries, accommodation & flights for squad members entering international ParaBadminton tournaments.

Under the direction and supervision of Badminton Scotland staff you may be required to undertake any of the following tasks. It is not intended as a complete list of tasks and you may be required to assist in other areas. Finance: Record and maintain accurate records of payments made by ParaBadminton Squad members in respect of squad fees for the season 2017/18.  Send out reminders to squad members of outstanding balances for squad fees.  Report outstanding balances to Badminton Scotland staff. Communication:  Provide an effective and customer focused enquiry service for all ParaBadminton Squad members, their families and coaches as required.  Act as a liaison between ParaBadminton Squad members, Badminton Scotland staff and Scottish Disability Sport staff. Administration:  Ensure that entries and entry fees are sent to BWF prior to closing date in respect of ParaBadminton Internationals where Scottish players are participating.  Ensure flight & accommodation information (organised by individual players) is collated and sent to ParaBadminton International tournament organisers prior to closing dates.  Liaise between squad members, BWF and ParaBadminton International tournament organisers. Attend meetings of SDBWG and report on any matters that require attention. Other Duties: You may be required to form duties, appropriate to the job, other than those given in the job profile. You will be asked to join the PVG scheme. You must be over 18 years old.
