North Ayrshire Primary Teachers CPD- 22 Primary teachers from 12 schools in North Ayrshire attended a 2-hour CPD session at St Winning's Primary School on 20th May. The session covered content from BADMINTONscotland's Primary Curriculum for Excellence Pack including; warm-up games, practices to develop grips and serving skills as well as many fun on-court games. Each attending school received a resource pack and 1 year's affiliation, funded through North Ayrshire Active Schools. It is hoped that attendees will now start to deliver badminton as part of the curricular PE as well as in lunch-time and after-school badminton clubs.
Glasgow Primary Teachers CPD- 16 Primary teachers from the East End of Glasgow attended a 2-hour session covering BADMINTONscotland's Primary Curriculum for Excellence Pack. The training is one part of a partnership project between BADMINTONscotland, Glasgow Active Schools and Glasgow Sport; offering schools in Glasgow's Clyde Gateway Badminton Coaching, Resources, Equipment as well as training for Teaching Staff.
North Ayrshire Primary Teachers CPD- BADMINTONscotland will be delivering a Primary Teachers CPD on Monday 20th May in St Winning's Primary School. The session will cover content from BADMINTONscotland's Primary Curriculum for Excellence Pack and will show teachers how to safely deliver high quality badminton activities to large numbers of pupils in a one badminton court setting.
