Badminton ScotlandThe Scottish Masters Championships will be held on 21 & 22 September 2013 at the Cockburn Centre in Glasgow. It will be one of the first events to be played at the new-look Cockburn Centre after completion of the extensive renovations carried out over the summer which have transformed the Centre.

Following a £150,000 package of improvements, players can look forward to competing on a brand new high performance sprung sports floor under 750 Lux competition standard lighting.

Men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed will be played at all age groups ranging from 35+ to 65+ and the closing date for entries is Wednesday 28 August 2013.

An entry form can be downloaded here. Alternatively, an online entry system is also available for the Scottish Masters. Click here to download guidelines explaining how to enter online and click here to go to the online entry page

It is intended to play all mixed doubles on Sunday 22 September and to complete all singles and level doubles events on Saturday 21 September 2013, although a final decision on this will be made once all entries are received.

The Committee reserves the right to play any or all events in pool or round robin format. Where the entry for an event is large & it is drawn in a knock out format, where possible a plate event will be held for first tie losers. Where an event is drawn into pools the referee reserves the right to change the pools where there is a withdrawal. A minimum requirement of 3 entries is required for an event to be played. Where there is less than 3 entries, players will be offered the opportunity to play in the same event in the next lower age group (if appropriate).
