Robert BlairScotland's Robert Blair, the only British player competing at the Turkey International in Istanbul this week, is through to the last eight of the men's doubles with Malaysian partner Tan Bin Shen.

But the fourth seeds, who had a first-round bye, had to come from behind to beat Germany's Jones Rafli Jansen and Indonesia's Indra Viki Okvana in the second round. They dropped the first game 22-20 before hitting back to take the next two 21-9 21-12.

In the quarter-finals they will face Germany's Heumann Manuel and Tobias Wadenka with Poland's second seeds Adam Cwalina and Przemyslaw Wacha their likely semi-final opponents if they win today's lunchtime clash.

The top seeds are Switzerland's Florian Schmid and Gilles Tripet, who remain on course for a semi-final clash with Russian third seeds Nikolaj Nikolaenko and Nikolai Ukk.

The semi-finals are tonight and the finals tomorrow.
