Scottish Senior Team

This Policy will apply to all BADMINTONscotland senior team selections except for those events that have their own specific selection criteria, for example Commonwealth Games.

The National Head Coach will make the final decision on selections, based on opinion, taking into account the views of the other full-time Performance Coaches (presently Andy Bowman and Robert Blair).  It is likely that an independent person will require to be present for selections.  This panel will be permitted to take into account results achieved from older age group events, both domestic and international.

Player Eligibility

All athletes wishing to be considered should note that it is mandatory to enter both the Scottish Open and Scottish National Championships.

Additionally they must participate regularly in Scottish and International ranking events and be eligible to play in accordance with BWF General Competition Regulations which can be downloaded here
