Technical Officials are central to controlling the game of badminton on-court and ensuring fair match play which follows the Laws of Badminton and the various competition regulations.

Badminton Scotland Court Officials Group (BSCO) is charged with training, developing and retaining Umpires, Service Judges and Line Judges.

Court Officials attend local, national and international events, volunteering their time to ensure tournaments are run according to the governing body’s (BWF) regulations and laws of the game and helping to ensure a universal interpretation of the laws of badminton in Scotland.

BSCO is run by a committee, elected at their Annual General meeting, who meet regularly to organise technical officials for local, nationals and international events.
