Scotland 's Imogen Bankier returned to the Super Series glory trail in Jakarta today.

The Glasgow 20-year-old and former Scotland international Robert Blair (England), the Bank of Scotland Centenary International mixed doubles champions, beat Chung Jen Cheng and Tien Ching Yung of Chinese Taipei 21-11 21-17 in the first round of the Djarum Indonesia Open.

That earned the seventh seeds and Yonex All England quarter-finalists a second-round clash tomorrow against Denmark 's Jacob Chemnitz and Marie Roepke or Mohd Razif Abdul Latif and Chong Sook Chin of Malaysia.

But Bankier was out of luck in the women 's doubles with another England partner, Suzanne Rayappan. They went down to Germany 's Nicole Grether and Canada 's Charmaine Reid in a close contest, 21-16 21-19.

So Bankier and Rayappan will now have to wait until next week 's Thailand Open in Bangkok for another major event opportunity.
