Following the high demand for Higher Skills and Techniques Coaching sessions last year, BADMINTONscotland will once again be running the popular courses this autumn.

There will be three full weeks of delivery, to be held early in the 2008/09 academic year, with all sessions to be held at Glasgowís Cockburn Badminton Centre. Two sessions will be held on each day, from 10am - 12pm and from 12.30pm - 2.30pm, on the following weeks.

Week 1: Monday 1^st   ñ Friday 5^th September 2008
Week 2: Monday 15^th ñ Friday 19^th September 2008
Week 3: Monday 6^th   ñ Friday 10^th October 2008

Rackets and shuttles will be provided, so all the pupils need to do is turn up and wear suitable clothing and footwear for their session, and bring plenty of water.

It is expected that places on these courses will be filled very quickly, so book early to avoid disappointment. Due to the extremely high demand for the courses, they are only available to affiliated schools - affiliation forms will be sent out with a confirmation letter on receipt of your application.

The total charge is £5.00 per pupil and there will be no charge for teachers to attend. Teachers are welcome to join in the session if numbers allow.

In addition, this year BADMINTONscotland have produced a Higher Skills & Techniques DVD, which offers schools an invaluable additional learning resource containing footage of model performers in action demonstrating the skills & techniques used in the modern game. The DVD is available at a discounted price to schools attending the coaching sessions - simply tick the box on the application Higher Skills & Techniques Application form and add £8 to the total fee for the session.
