UKCC - what does it mean for the coming season?

BADMINTONscotland signed up to the United Kingdom Coaching Certificate in 2004, along with 31 other sports, to work towards the delivery of a structure which ensures parity and quality assurance across coach education within the UK. Working with our Home country colleagues in England and Wales and with the Scottish Qualifications Authority BADMINTONscotland has been making preparations for the transfer of our current coach education system to the new UKCC Certificates in Coaching Badminton over the past four years and has commenced delivery of the UKCC Badminton courses this season. 

UKCC level 1 courses are currently running around Scotland, and there will shorlty be the first UKCC Level 2 course in Scotland. Details of all the coach education course can be found in the calendar of activities on this website. UKCC Level 3 is still progressing through the endorsement stage and further details will be available towards the middle of next season.

The new UKCC Certificate in Coaching Badminton will be recognized by BADMINTONEngland and Welsh Badminton Union and is therefore transferable across Great Britain.
