UKCC - what does it mean for the coming season? BADMINTONscotland signed up to the United Kingdom Coaching Certificate in 2004, along with 31 other sports, to work towards the delivery of a structure which ensures parity and quality assurance across coach education within the UK. Working with our Home country colleagues in England and Wales and with the Scottish Qualifications Authority BADMINTONscotland made preparations for the transfer of the previous coach education system to the new UKCC Certificates in Coaching Badminton and since 2007 has been delivering UKCC Badminton courses. UKCC level 1 & 2 courses are currently running around Scotland, and details of all the coach education course can be found in the calendar of activities on this website. UKCC Level 3 is at endorsement stage and further details will be available in due course. The new UKCC Certificate in Coaching Badminton will be recognized by BADMINTONEngland and Welsh Badminton Union and is therefore transferable across Great Britain. Please note: If a candidate gives less than 2 weeks notice or attends part of a course they will not be eligible for any refund. An administrative fee may be charged to candidates who pull out giving more than 2 weeks notice. Candidates re-sitting assessments or completing the award on another course will be subject to a charge. The appeals procedure is available to download here |
