BADMINTONscotland are hugely indebted to those sponsors and partners who make it possible for us to operate such a wide range of programmes.

Sponsors and funding partners such as Bank of Scotland, Yonex, sportscotland and Glasgow City Council, along with Glasgow City Marketing Bureau and Culture & Sport Glasgow, have been long term partners of BADMINTONscotland, and have provided an abundance of valuable professional and financial support for a number of years.

During major events such as the Sudirman Cup, held in Glasgow in 2007 for the second time, organisations such as UK Sport, EventScotland, Phoenix Kia, Canon, Highland Spring & Hire-a-Phone all worked with BADMINTONscotland providing resources, financial help and professional advice to ensure the smooth and effective running of the high profile event.

While the larger sponsors and funding partners are an important factor to the continued growth and success of the sport, there are also smaller companies such as e.g.Sports and Bill’s Tool Store who also play their part. e.g.sports provide support to our annual Masters Veterans Championships, whilst Bill’s Tool Store, a Glasgow based company, sponsors the annual National Veterans Championships in which one of the partners of the business regularly competes.  Val Pearson said: “I have had so much fun from playing badminton over the years that putting something back into the sport seemed an appropriate way to support the work BADMINTONscotland are doing.”
