Volunteering Opportunity

BADMINTONscotland are offering badminton followers the chance to get involved in helping to run a major tournament by volunteering for the Scottish 4 Nationals Parabadminton Championships at Glasgow's Scotstoun International Sports Arena from February 17-19.

Players from all over the United Kingdom will be competing including some of the best disabled players in the world, such as world championship gold medallist Steven Moodie and silver medallist Alan Oliver.

The Championships provide the opportunity for volunteers to manage courts or officiate in matches and for many this could be the first steps towards becoming a fully fledged registered court official.

Opportunities could follow at a range of tournaments from disability to able bodies and from junior through senior to veterans level. It could even be the first step on the road to volunteering at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Volunteering is so rewarding and BADMINTONscotland are always on the look-out for enthusiastic and keen volunteers to help at the many events they stage throughout the badminton season.
