Badminton Scotland Centenary Year

2011 is a particularly special year for BADMINTONscotland as it marks the Centenary of the formation of the Scottish Badminton Union. In celebration of our 100th birthday we have held a number of events and produced a Centenary Brochure and other items to commemorate this very special occasion. Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run

Congratulations to Jill O’Neil and Peter Dean for successfully completing the half marathon at the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run in Glasgow at the weekend.

Jill, Badminton Development Officer for Glasgow Sport, completed the course in 1 hour 43 minutes while Peter, BADMINTONscotland’s Events and Communications Officer finished in 1 hour 51 minutes.

The event attracted a record entry with 23,386 people registering for the various races
