Having negotiated their way through a close three game match yesterday, the number six seeds were rarely tested today as they swept aside the challenge from Jonathan Gillis and Severine Corvilain of Belgium 21-11 21-11 in a match lasting just 18 minutes. They will now face English duo Robin Middleton and Samantha Ward tomorrow for a place in the semi finals, where a tough test against Japan’s second seeds Ikeda Shintaro and Reiko Shiota or fifth seeded Chinese pair Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei would await them.
