Imogen Bankier and Robert Blair are through to tonight's mixed doubles quarter-finals at the Yonex German Open in Mulheim as they warm up for next week's Yonex All England 100th Championships in Birmingham.

The Glasgow star and her England partner, who were the 2007 Bank of Scotland International champions, beat sixth seeds Chieh Min Fang and Pei Rong Wang of Taipei 21-11 21-17 yesterday. 

In the last eight they will take on another pair of Bank of Scotland champions in 2009 winners Alexandr Nikolaenko and Valeria Sorokina of Russia.

Jillie Cooper's hopes of reaching the quarter-finals were dashed when she and Chris Langridge were beaten by his men's doubles partner Robin Middleton and Cooper's 2008 Bank of Scotland International women's doubles winning partner Mariana Agathangelou 12-21 21-13 21-16.
