John Shearer will be returning to Strathclyde University on Tuesday to complete the third and final session with Sports students delivering content from the s1-s4 manual. The following day John will be coaching at the second of five West Dunbartonshire Bank of Scotland Play Badminton Carnivals at Playdrome Leisure Centre. The remaining carnivals in the series will take place on March 10, 17 and 24 respectively and will be hosted by the Meadow Centre in Dumbarton. On Tuesday, Alex Bird will be meeting with Tayside and Fife regional partnership group to discuss current structures in the area and develop a plan to use initiatives and programmes to take badminton in the region forward. There are other meetings planned for later in the week with partner NGBs and Scottish Government representatives to consider possible involvement in recovered proceeds of crime programme. The discussions will focus on potential programmes and the implementation of these. Alex will then be running a basics course for Abercorn School in Glasgow and progressing work and plans for the under 12 national development programme. |
