| Casey suffers defeat in Russia |

The fourth seed won the first end 21-19, but ended up suffering a 21-12 21-12 reverse in the final two sets. Casey had got off to the perfect start yesterday, beating another Russian player, Vyachelav Turchak, 21-0 21-3 in the first round of the men’s singles. He will now travel down under to compete in the Australian Open from 23-26 July.
