GLASGOW’S Imogen Bankier and England’s Chris Adcock today reached the quarter finals of the Bitburger Open in Saarbrucken, Germany.

Having negotiated their way through a close three game match yesterday, the number six seeds were rarely tested today as they swept aside the challenge from Jonathan Gillis and Severine Corvilain of Belgium 21-11 21-11 in a match lasting just 18 minutes.
